Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes you back to the world of Thedas as protagonist Rook. After the events of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's End of the Beginning prologue quest, you find yourself at the Lighthouse, a location inside the Fade. Cue the launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's second main quest, Shadows of Ancient Arthalan, which gives you the chance to explore the Lighthouse, catch up with fellow companions, and discuss the road ahead. The Shadows of Ancient Arthalan quest also allows you to solve the mysterious Lighthouse statue puzzle, which could get overlooked if just focusing on the main story.
This Dragon Age: The Veilguard guide covers how long it takes to beat BioWare's action RPG, from partial playthroughs to full ones.
If you're eager to explore every nook and cranny in the game and find every secret, learning how to solve the Lighthouse statue puzzle is worthwhile and gives you a few collectible rewards. However, it can be a tricky puzzle to solve, as part of the mystery is discovering what it unlocks.
After completing the prologue and speaking with your companions, exit the main Library building and enter the Courtyard ahead. After a short scene with Harding, head to the north of the map on your left toward a building with a door covered in vines called the Workshop. Travel around the left side of the building to find a tall statue of a figure with a Mysterious Note pinned to its base around the corner, as pictured above. Read it to help you get started on this riddle-like, tricky puzzle. The Mysterious Note details the following information as per the picture below:
To enter the Library Passage, three pairings must meet face-to-face.
To enter the Library Passage, you must find and position three pairs of statues so they face each other. You'll notice the statue has a bar you can interact with to change which direction it faces. Fortunately, all three statue pairs are located around the Lighthouse's exterior areas, as detailed below.
You can find the first statue's twin directly opposite it to the east. Face the statue where you found the note and interact with it so it faces east, as pictured above. Straight ahead, you should see its twin, which you can reach by running across to the next building on the left, which acts as Neve's Guesthouse room, the location of one of Dragon Age: The Veilguard's companions. Drop to the ledges outside this building and jump across the gaps to reach a platform below.
Here, you'll find some collectibles to grab, including a chest containing gold and Blacksmith's Tools, a Codex called 'On Devine Imperatives,' and the statue's location at the end of the platform. Turn the statue to the west so that its head faces the first statue you found, solving the first part of the Lighthouse statue puzzle and causing a green orb to emerge from each statue. However, you don't need to follow these, which float back to the Library, as shown in the video clip below. To complete the rest of the puzzle, you must find and match up two more statue pairs.
You can find the second statue directly next to the outside of the Dining Hall building, as pictured above. Approach the Dining Hall building. Instead of going inside, follow the path to the right and head up the steps to find the second statue on the right of the building's perimeter. Turn this statue to the west, so its face looks at the Library opposite you. That's where you need to go to find its twin, and you may also notice a green orb that appears. Travel up the Library's exterior staircase to reach the next statue on the left in front of another chest, as pictured below. Turn this statue to the east so it faces the one you just moved by the Dining Hall to complete the second part of the puzzle.

Fortunately, the final part of the Lighthouse statue puzzle is the easiest to find. Starting at the second statue at the top of the Library building stairs, look to the left to see a canopy with the final and third statue pairs underneath. There is also a chest to open in between them, containing Flawless Crystal and a Glazed Vase. Turn both statues so they face each other to complete the puzzle. This action completes the Lighthouse statue puzzle, which Rook says has done something, but it's up to you to figure out what. Thankfully, you don't need to go far, as the Lighthouse puzzle collectible rewards are within the Library building itself, as detailed in the next section below.
Return inside the Library building and enter the room with the Library table, which you later use to gather the team. Opposite the Library table, you'll see a circular door now lit with three lights. There is also a plaque next to the door that reads 'Three meetings, face-to-face, under the sky,' which you can only read before completing the puzzle. Approach the door to enter the secret Library Passage, which leads you to the hidden room in Dragon Age: The Veilguard's Lighthouse called the Music Room. Once inside, you can explore the room at your leisure and pick up a few collectibles as rewards for your efforts:
If you're still struggling with this puzzle, the video above also details how to complete the second and third statues plus how to find the music room.
Having completed the Lighthouse statue puzzle, you can gather your companions at the Library table to continue the Shadows of Ancient Arthalan quest.
